  • Nice hand - congrats! As long as I'm not in the pot with you, I hope you get quads again soon. ;-)

  • Ain't quads great? Thanks for visiting my blog. I've seen you before on Card Squad and probably several other bloggers' sites. Link me up and I've added you. I'm still a newbie at online poker, and I'm primarily playing the free money games. With my year end bonus, the account is funded and let the bad beats begin! See you on the tables!

  • Matt,

Thanks for the comments. I always watch for the recaps, but my Friday evenings are almost never free (gotta keep the gf happy). If one is, I will do what I can to be there. I will go over to the Yahoo group and join, though. You never know...maybe she'll get another Friday night class to teach!

  • i don't think i've ever made 4 of a kind. but i have made a couple of straight flushes before. one of those was probably my favorite hand of all time - this other guy went all in against me. i called, of course. he had a straight flush with the lower card. i had a straight flush with the higher card. poor guy. the best hand of his life, and i beat it :)

  • Man, Eric, that would be the toughest beat ever. On some sites they have bad beat tables (real money) where if you lose with four of a kind 8s or better, then you win an enormous jackpot that gets built up with rakes from the hands. I know PartyPoker does this, and I think there are a few other sites as well.

Of course, I've never seen any of these killer hands in real life, except for the quad 5s that Carly had at the last game we played at my place. Glad I wasn't in that hand!

  • Seat 4: 20Dawkins20 mucked [5d 5s]

Is it fair to be able to find out a hand that someone mucked? What's the point of mucking otherwise?

  • That's interesting... I hadn't even noticed that. Normally it doesn't tell you, but maybe if they have a really good hand it shows in the hand history. I'm not sure of the reason for that.

  • Most sites tell you what a person mucked. I don't really know why they do, but I enjoy seeing what donkeys call down with.
